Working with CAP is an excellent way to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people and pets while maximizing your talents, learning new skills, encouraging philanthropy among your peers, improving your resume and meeting new people – all while helping us to create lifelong supporters of CAP.
The CAP Young Professionals charter group will help create a foundation for the future of the program, establish a leadership board, recruit other charter members, adopt a mission and a vision statement, and make decisions regarding the formation and commitment obligations of the group. They will act as advocates for CAP by planning and implementing fundraising and social events, attending and promoting CAP’s existing fundraisers, collaborating with other YP groups, etc.
We welcome young professionals aged 20-40, across all industries and from all backgrounds with any level of experience or interest in nonprofits, animal shelters, animal rescue, or leadership who share a common interest in animals.
Starting a young professionals group requires passion and commitment, and we are looking forward to working with some of Houston’s most empathetic, brightest, and most community-minded to support the mission of Citizens for Animal Protection: Caring for pets in need through sheltering, adoption, humane education, spay/neuter services, low-cost wellness and community outreach.
